So yeah, I wanted to do a guest comic for Bittersweet Candy Bowl, but well I suuuuuck.
Couldn't come up with and draw anything good by the deadline. One idea I carried too far was this superhero reimagining... thing. A bunch of the characters as superheroes. Hooray!
Lady Megaton has collosal, superhuman strength. Peacemaker releases waves of calm and contentment. Crash and Shinobi are martial artists. Leyline controls natural forces and elements. Finale is a mastermind with dark magic. Blue Crusade is a shield-bearing hero. Enchantress controls the minds of anyone who sees her eyes. Booyah is a dope with sonic shouty powers. Also featuring McCain as the police's chief inspector!
The short plot would have involved Finale using Leyline to control Enchantress, who in turn would control others to do Finale's bidding. Bad news~
No resolution, just long enough to establish the characters. Still, I decided late into planning that it would have been really uneconomical to actually write and draw it all with the deadline approaching. I'm really disappointed with myself, honestly; I really wanted to do a fancomic, but I'm just terrible at that sort of thing. :/
Characters all belong to , except for Tess. Her origins are unclear to me. >>
Actually McCain and Abbey weren't scanned, I forgot them. McCain was a police commissioner and Abbey was a strung-out hero who clutched a stress ball wherever he went.
Superheroes are cool. Reminds me I need to hurry my own ass up and continue drawing superhero stuff. These are good, solid sketches & all that. This could've worked well as a comic. Does "McCain" refer to John McCain?
Nah, McCain's a canine character in the comic who doles out sober advice and is promptly told to shut it. I figured he'd be better as a support character than a hero. Man I wish I'd done at least a few pages of this. Ah well. :/
